RPGaDay 2016 – Day 18

18/08/2016

What innovation could RPG groups gain the most benefit from?

Short Answer: A Cone of Silence for secret conversations between GMs and players.

Long Answer: This ‘handy’ device appeared in the classic espionage/comedy TV series Get Smart. Basically, it was a device that allowed to people to conduct a private conversation, even while other people are present. As you expect from all things Get Smart, it never really worked as intended. Let’s check it out in action in the first episode of the series.

It’s goofy, but imagine how handy it would be if it actually worked. No more passing notes or having to go out of the room to pass secret information between the GM and a player. Doesn’t that sound like a good idea?
