The Hobbit Soundtrack Sneak Peek

21/06/2012

It’s truly amazing what you can find on the internet these days.

One clever person has uploaded what they claim is the main theme to The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. We may have to wait until December to see the movie, but we can listen to this track now.

I’m not sure if this is legit or not, but the quality makes me think it is. There have been a lot of mashups posted to YouTube ever since the release of the first trailer, but this one blows them all out of the water.

There is also word we will be getting a second trailer soon, possibly airing in front of Brave. I don’t know how certain that is, but I’ve got my fingers crossed.

UPDATE: As a few people have mentioned, this is not an official track from the soundtrack for The Hobbit. Peter Jackson basically confirmed this himself this weekend at Comic-Con when he mentioned that Howard Shore would soon be heading into the studio to record the soundtrack for the movie. This is still one of the best fan compositions out there and will certainly tide me over until the real soundtrack becomes available.

Nope its not an official rendering… Its digitally created; based on already known themes from the LOTR and the new themes from the Hobbit Announcement Trailer. Its a lovely mix by the way.
